Do you have the drive to create engaging learning opportunities and coach others to engage youth in these experiences?  Are you interested in helping lead a statewide team of youth development professionals to help young people achieve their potential? You will work with high performing teams to create and deliver world class, innovative learning experiences that empower Nebraskans to improve their lives around critical issues.

This position will provide innovative leadership and enhance the overall effectiveness of 4-H Positive Youth Development programming through development and deployment of highly relevant/high impact Extension programs, coaching, professional development and co-supervising of Nebraska 4-H staff and volunteers, as well as resource acquisition.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; one degree in Youth Development, Education, or closely related field. Master’s degree must be completed by start date. • Minimum of three years of experience working in youth development program. • Experience working with individuals, coworkers, partnering organizations, and teams to accomplish individual and/or group goals, as evidenced by college, career, and/or community activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Outstanding leadership skills as demonstrated by roles in college, career, and/or community activities. • Understanding of different ethnic and socioeconomic audiences and a commitment to developing and delivering both inclusive and targeted programming. • Successful experience in developing financial support for educational programs including grant writing, fund generation, contracting and/or cost recovery efforts. • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and programs.

Criminal history background check will be conducted.

Travel Requirements

Some travel is required. Must meet driver standards according to UNL policy and have a valid driver’s license.
