The Department of Extension Animal & Natural Resources at NMSU is searching for an Extension Specialist/Livestock at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. An earned Ph.D. in animal sciences or another related field (e.g., DVM) is required. Experience in reproductive physiology will be preferred. The primary responsibility for this position is to spearhead the development of a nationally recognized Extension and outreach program focusing on small ruminant production with an emphasis on sheep and goats.

State-wide responsibilities will require significant travel in-state and out-of-state.
