Salary and Other Benefits
Salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications
Provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for the Montana Master Gardener Program including oversight of budget, statewide planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluating the program.
Provide support and training to Montana State University Extension agents pertaining to the Master Gardener program.
Develop, review, update and manage Master Gardener and horticulture publications.
Maintain the Master Gardener website, database, social media page, and other program resources.
Serve as a resource for consumer horticulture questions including yard and garden installation, maintenance, and integrated pest management.
Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Education, Plant Science, Sustainable Agriculture, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Plant Science, or a related combination of bachelor’s level education and experience. Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating educational programs. Demonstrated experience with gardening and home horticulture. Demonstrated experience in volunteer development. Demonstrated experience with website, social media, and database management
Master’s degree relevant to focus of position. Experience with the Master Gardener Program Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and its application to community-based education and outreach.

Position will include some travel throughout the state and occasional travel within the country.
