MSU Extension improves the lives of Montana citizens by providing unbiased research-based education and information that integrates learning, discovery and engagement to strengthen the social, economic and environmental well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Extension Communications & Technology provides innovative, results-oriented communications and technology solutions that support and promote the mission and image of MSU Extension.

The web application developer/systems administrator works as a member of the collaborative communications & technology team of graphic designers, editors, content creators, project managers and systems administrators, to provide online solutions and services from needs assessment to project deployment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, develop, test, implement comprehensive technical solutions for new and existing web projects.
Responsible for managing the execution of web projects from planning through deployment.
Provide users, including Extension faculty, staff & affiliates, with training, support and troubleshooting in the use of MSU’s web content management system.
Plan and implement usability, accessibility and search engine optimization improvements across all Extension web applications.
Works as a member of a collaborative team to provide technical administration and support, including patching, upgrades/updates, performance monitoring, security administration, backup and recovery for Extension server systems and databases.
