General Statement
The Forest Stewardship Program is a part of the MSU Extension Forestry Program, which is housed in the W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation at the University of Montana, Missoula, Montana. The FSP Coordinator is administratively responsible to the Extension Forestry Specialist and is a full-time professional position with Montana State University Extension. This position is grant-funded through an annual grant from the Montana DNRC.

We seek individuals who work professionally and effectively with diverse individuals, foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships, exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to contribute positively to the academic success of students and the mission of Montana State University.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and management of the forest landowner planning workshop curriculum.
Plan, staff, facilitate and instruct forest stewardship workshops.
Identify, hire, train and supervise stewardship workshop advisors.
Develop, enhance and/or modify curricula as needed. Work with the MSU Extension Forestry Specialist to develop an on-line Forest Stewardship program.
Work with multi-constituent Forest Service, Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, and Natural Resources and Conservation Service representatives.
Develop and manage annual budget.
Record program results into national data base.
Cooperate with MSU Extension agents and specialists, and University system faculty, and natural resources agencies and associations.
Assure compliance with civil rights and affirmative action policies.
Comply with all Extension federal, state, university and grant reporting requirements.
