Description:
The Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service provides science-based educational programs that improve the lives and livelihood of Oklahoma citizens. The Program Evaluation Specialist will share responsibility with the OCES Associate Vice President and Assistant Directors for implementing a comprehensive plan for evaluating OCES programs. The Specialist is responsible for providing innovative and creative leadership to evaluate programs throughout the state and reporting impacts to a broad range of audiences. The Specialist will develop resources that highlight the significant impacts of Extension programming and the public value of OCES. Duties and responsibilities include: * Monitor and analyze program outcomes to document impact, enhance programming and improve program accountability. * Develop and implement evaluation plans. * Design and conduct assessments of programs within OCES. * Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data. * Lead efforts to build assessment and evaluation capacity within OCES. * Develop tools and templates that can be used by individuals and teams in conducting program evaluation. * Provide in-service educational programs related to Extension program accountability and evaluation for state, area, district and county educators, faculty, staff and volunteers to enable them to assist with and conduct program evaluation. * Serve as resource to faculty and staff seeking to design and evaluate programs. * Collaborate with evaluation staff from other program areas. * Contribute to development and compilation of accountability reports for state and national Extension stakeholders. * Coordinate with extension faculty and educators in the submission of OCES evaluation tools and Extension programs for review by the Internal Review Board (IRB) when appropriate. * Work with the DASNR Agricultural Communications Services to develop strategies for communicating the mission and effectiveness of OCES. * Serve as liaison with appropriate agencies and professional groups such as the American Evaluation Association. * Assist with other related duties. This is a 11-month non-tenure track faculty position that is administratively responsible to the Assistant Director/Program Leader, Agriculture and Natural Resources with review by the OCES Associate Vice President and other Assistant Directors. The successful candidate will be aligned with an appropriate academic department within DASNR.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education level :
Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Statistics, Evaluation, Assessment, Business, Economics, Educational Psychology, or a closely related.
Years of experience :
Degree must incorporate evaluation methodologies and a minimum of three (3) years of professional evaluation and assessment experience. Applicants' experience should demonstrate:
