The University of Vermont seeks applications for a Grant Coordinator with the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program. Northeast SARE is a 12-state competitive grants program, hosted by the University of Vermont and funded by USDA. More information about the program can be found at: The Grant Coordinator position manages the Graduate Student Research Grant program and Research for Novel Approaches in Sustainable Agriculture Grant program. Together, these grant programs make about 50 awards annually, totaling $2 million. This University of Vermont position is a 12-month, full-time professional staff position with full benefits, located at the University of Vermont Extensions South Burlington office. Minimum education level :
Bachelors degree.
Years of experience :
Two to four years of experience conducting applied research projects in a field related to sustainable agriculture required.

Familiarity with principles and practices of sustainable agriculture research required. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences including scientists, graduate students, agricultural service providers, nonprofit personnel, and businesses required. Experience producing written reports and managing data using spreadsheets required. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work with a team, and coordinate projects required.
