You will work with high performing teams to create and deliver world class, innovative learning experiences that empower Nebraskans to improve their lives around critical issues.We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time faculty position located on East Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska and serving Nebraska statewide. The major responsibility of this position is to lead statewide 4-H youth development efforts to engage youth in innovation and entrepreneurship. The primary focus is to develop a comprehensive, visionary, contemporary, expanded youth development program by enhancing partnerships, strengthening the volunteer base, increasing funding, and growing program enrollment. We want individuals who are self-directed and able to work in a flexible environment.Required Qualifications:Masters degree required; one degree in youth development, education, or closely related field. Masters degree must be completed by start date.A minimum of three years of successful experience teaching youth in a formal or informal setting.Experience in leading innovative programs designed to enhance entrepreneurial skills, help young people foster creative thinking, and apply those skills to potential career choices.Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e. publications, presentations, web, and social media).Experience and demonstrated ability in working with youth and youth organizations, including understanding of positive youth development and youth program management.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in working with under-served audiences.Familiarity with business concepts, business plans, entrepreneurship, or experience starting a business.Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team, displaying strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.Review of applications will begin October 28, 2019.
