An EPSCoR collaboration among scientists and researchers at the University of Wyoming (UW), Montana State University (MSU), and University of South Dakota (USD) is evaluating the consequences of a bioenergy, and carbon capture and sequestration (or BECCS) economy in the Upper Missouri River Basin (UMRB). The UMRB BECCS Collaborative will work with agricultural, land manager and energy development stakeholders to design future BECCS land-use scenarios, and to evaluate the consequences of those scenarios on ecological and socio-economic systems.As a key member of this collaboration, the Outreach Coordinator will serve as a liaison between project scientists, the projects Extension Specialists, and regional university Extension and outreach personnel to develop and deliver outreach and education to key public stakeholder groups. These stakeholder groups include agricultural producers, community and tribal associations, state and federal land managers, policy-makers, industry representatives, and university administrators. The individual filling this position will also coordinate with EPSCoR project staff at each institution to provide materials to support elementary through high school education programs as appropriate. As part of the EPSCoR collaboration, the Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating outreach from the project to Extension clientele (including stakeholders, Extension specialists and agents, and Tribal representatives) across all UMRB states, and coordinate with MSU Extended University to develop and deliver educational programs and materials.Primary duties include but are not limited to: Developing competence in, and remaining current on, project progress and outputs through self-directed reading and professional contacts with project participants. Planning, conducting, and evaluating outcomes for programs to meet project outreach objectives. Facilitating communication between stakeholders, Extension specialists, Tribal representatives, and project scientists and collaborators. Developing, promoting, and disseminating educational materials for project stakeholder groups.

Minimum education level :
*An earned masters degree from an accredited college or university. One degree must have been awarded in agricultural economics, agricultural communication, environment and natural resources, or related field.*Proficient, professional written and verbal communication skills.*Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
