Lead, develop, deliver, evaluate, and report a nationally recognized Extension educational program focused on farm and financial management. The successful candidate will serve as Coordinator of MANAGE, a well-established farm and financial planning program that includes nine Area Farm Management Specialists located across Tennessee (http://economics.ag.utk.edu/mang.html). The successful candidate will provide subject matter leadership on topics ranging from utilization and development of decision making tools, short and long range planning and management, farm record-keeping and analysis, farm transition planning, and the economics of alternative production technologies and farming systems. Responsibilities also include recruiting, interviewing, training, supporting, and providing input on performance of Extension Area Farm Management Specialists. The successful candidate will also be expected to: * Plan, direct, support, and lead activities associated with the MANAGE program; * Work directly with and provide leadership to Extension Area Farm Management Specialists; * Work with Institute of Agriculture faculty (including multi-disciplinary teams), county agricultural Extension agents, and other Extension personnel; * Work with industry and producer groups as part of their educational program; * Conduct applied research to support their educational program; * Provide input to, and serve as an educational resource for, regional and/or national groups; * Acquire extramural funding to support, develop, and enhance the educational program; and * Participate in service to the Department, Institute, University, and profession.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education level :
Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or a closely related field is required.
Years of experience :
* Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated understanding of agricultural production systems are essential. * In-depth knowledge and understanding of farm and financial analysis tools is desirable.
