Changes to Job Bank Fee Structure

Effective March 1, 2012 the fee structure for advertising on the Job Bank will change.  This change reflects bringing the fee structure more into alignment with other posting services and to better reflect the increased engagement and other features from the recent Job Bank revamp. The changes were agreed to after reviewing use, comparing other options, and feedback from Job Bank users.

-the 30 day posting rate will be $125 dollars
-we will no longer offer the 60 day option. This option has experienced limited usage in the contemporary job market

Important Info for Current Job Posters

Hello again, and welcome to the new website.

This is an important announcement for all Job Posters who used the old site, so please read carefully.

As stated in previous posts, the new National Job Bank website has been rewritten from the ground up. This includes an entirely different database structure, more secure code, and strongly encrypted passwords. This sounds great, right? But what does it mean for YOU?

  • All user accounts are no longer valid — You will need to register for a new account!
  • Jobs that were available on the old website have been manually migrated to the new site and will expire when they were set to expire on the old site. There is currently no way for you to modify or extend these job postings. You will be required to recreate the posting if you wish to extend it.
    • That being said, it is entirely possible to link a current job to your newly created account for modification/extension. If you wish to do this, please E-mail Me the following information:
      • Your name
      • The e-mail address tied to the old site
      • The e-mail address tied to the new site
      • The job name you wish to tie to your new account
      • The confirmation e-mail you received when you created or extended the job
    • This information will be used to verify that you are, in fact, the appropriate individual to tie this job to. It is simply a security thing.

Welcome to the NJB Beta

Because this website is brand new code from the ground up, not simply a redesign, it is launching under the idea that it is still in Beta testing. With this in mind, please use the contact forms located in various locations of the website to submit any bugs you might have found on the website. These reports will help us locate and fix any bugs you might find.

Bugs can include but are not limited to:

  • 404 Item Not Found Errors
  • Spelling errors
  • Failure to send or receive messages
  • 503 Service Unavailable Errors
  • Failure to receive confirmation e-mails upon creation of jobs or payment of jobs (both from Paypal and National Job Bank)
  • Inability to create accounts, log in, or reset passwords
  • Inability to create jobs, set up alerts, extend jobs, etc…

Please note, also, that because the site is currently in Beta, you may experience occasional downtime as we work to patch bugs that we become aware of.

Please keep your eyes on this blog as we will continue to provide updates on changes and bug fixes as they occur.

Thank you!

Employer HowTo: Direct job seekers directly to your application website

We understand that the majority of organizations have their own internal application process. That’s why we, at the National Job Bank make every effort to make it simple for you to direct potential employees to your internal application website.

As you’re filling out your new job, you will notice a section entitled “Add a Link to a Website, PDF, Etc.” This section allows you to provide links that job seekers can click on to get more information about your job. You will notice that the first area is called “Application Link.” This is where you will input your Application website url.

Once you have set this link, save your job and activate it, the user will be presented with a nice little “Apply Now!” button at the top of the job posting. This will load up the application link in a new browser window so the potential employee can apply for your job posting on your internal application processing website!
